The Help Center adds a third tab to the footer of your chat widget, next to Home and Messages. Visitors use it to browse help articles, search them, and read the answer without starting a chat. If they still need help, they click Ask a question to start a chat with your chatbot. You write and organize the content in the dashboard. You can also ask the BubblaV Assistant to do it for you.

Turn On the Help Center

The Help Center tab is off by default.
1

Open Design

Go to bubblav.com/dashboard, select your website, and click Design in the sidebar menu.
2

Open the Help Center section

Expand the Help Center section. It sits between Chat Screen and Advanced Settings.
3

Show the tab

Turn on Show Help Center tab. The setting saves automatically, with no Save button.
4

Check the live site

The tab appears on your live site within a minute. In rare cases, caching can delay it by up to 5 minutes.
The tab shows in the widget when Show Help Center tab is on. A visitor sees only published content. If you turn the tab on and publish nothing, the tab opens with no articles. Add and publish at least one article.

Tab Label and Languages

By default, the tab is named Help. The widget translates this default into the language you choose under Widget Language in Widget Design. To use your own name, such as “Support” or “FAQ”, type it in Tab label (up to 80 characters; the field shows “Help” as the placeholder). Your own label stays as you wrote it in every language. Leave the field empty to go back to the translated default. The label saves automatically. You can also edit the label in the live preview. Click the Help tab in the preview, change the label, and click Save in the inline editor.

Groups and Articles

The Help Center has two kinds of content:
  • Groups: folders that hold articles. Groups have one level only. A group cannot contain another group.
  • Articles: the help content. An article sits inside a group or at the top level (select None (top level) for Group).
Visitors see your groups and your top-level articles on the first screen of the tab.

Add a Group

  1. In the Help Center section, enter a name in New group title (up to 80 characters).
  2. Click Add group.
New groups go to the end of the list. Each group row shows its article count. Use the buttons on the group row to publish or unpublish it (Publish / Unpublish), rename it (pencil icon), delete it (trash icon), or move it up or down (arrows). Top-level articles are listed under Top level. Group and article changes save at once.

Add an Article

  1. Click Add article at the top of the section, or open a group and click Add article to this group.
  2. Fill in the article dialog:
    • Title: up to 200 characters.
    • Type: Text article or Link (opens in a new tab).
    • Content (text articles) or URL (link articles).
    • Group: the group that holds the article. Select None (top level) for the top level.
    • Status: Published or Draft (hidden from visitors).
  3. Click Save in the dialog. The article is saved at once.
Use a link article when the answer already exists on your website, for example a shipping policy page or a page in your own documentation.

Draft and Published

Every group and every article has a status:
  • Published: visitors can see it in the widget.
  • Draft: only you can see it in the dashboard. Visitors never see it.
Use Publish and Unpublish on a row to change the status without opening the article.
A draft group hides all of its articles from visitors, even when the articles are published. To show the articles again, publish the group.
A group with no published articles does not show in the widget. It shows again when you publish an article in it.

Order

Visitors see groups and articles in the same order as the dashboard. Use the up and down arrows on a row to move it. New groups and new articles go to the end. When you move an article to another group, it goes to the end of that group.

Delete

  • Delete an article: removes the article. Confirm in the dialog.
  • Delete a group: removes the group and all the articles inside it. Confirm in the dialog. This cannot be undone. To keep the articles, move them to another group or to the top level first, or unpublish the group instead.

What Visitors See

1

Open the tab

The visitor clicks the Help tab in the widget footer.
2

Search or browse

The visitor types in the search box to find articles, or browses the groups and top-level articles.
3

Read

A group opens to show its articles. A text article opens in the widget. A link article opens in a new browser tab. The back button returns to the group or to the first screen.
4

Ask a question

The visitor clicks Ask a question to start a chat with your chatbot.
Search runs in the visitor’s browser on your published articles. It does not use a chat message from your plan quota.

Google Analytics Events

When the Google Analytics 4 integration is on, the widget sends these Help Center events: See the event reference for the properties of each event.

Manage the Help Center with Ask BubblaV

You do not need to open the Design page. Ask the BubblaV Assistant, or a connected AI client such as Claude or ChatGPT through the MCP server, to manage the content. Example prompts:
The assistant asks for your approval before it deletes a group or an article.

Troubleshooting

  • Open Design -> Help Center and turn on Show Help Center tab. The change saves automatically.
  • Reload your site. Changes usually appear within a minute (up to 5 minutes if caching has not cleared).
  • Check that the article status is Published, not Draft.
  • If the article is in a group, check that the group is Published. A draft group hides all of its articles.
  • Check that Show Help Center tab is on.
  • Reload your site. Changes usually appear within a minute.
This is expected. Link articles always open in a new browser tab so the visitor keeps the widget open.
Deleting a group also deletes its articles, and this cannot be undone. Add the group and the articles again. To avoid this, unpublish a group instead of deleting it.
